PROFILE OF LEX PRINCIPAL
      Brian Fogarty entered private law practice after serving as a law clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for Northern California. A graduate of Boalt Hall (UC Berkeley), Mr. Fogarty specializes in real estate transactional law. He has worked with tax-deferred exchanges since 1986 and has advised investors, brokers, accountants, other attorneys and closing agents in exchange procedures and planning. He is an owner of residential income property.

      Mr. Fogarty is the President and Managing Director of Lawyers Equity Exchange (LEX), a corporation which has performed exchange services as a Qualified Intermediary in hundreds of transactions. In addition, he has conducted training seminars about 1031 exchanging for real estate professionals throughout the Bay Area.

      Mr. Fogarty is a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators and a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of California.
